Another chapter in our quest for meeting the CW learning challenge is coming to a close. There are some points I would like to make before everyone takes off in different directions.
Every time we go through one of the classes/semesters, we seem to come away with new and enhanced skills in regard to CW. But even more important, we've made new friends. Not just fellow countrymen but from the world wide pool of operators. Personally, I consider myself quite blessed by having added new names and new faces to my list of friends and potential contacts. My deepest hope is that we can maintain that contact as much and as long as possible. So many avenues of social media has made that possible. We need only to avail ourselves to the resources at hand.
This is more focused on Carl's (W4IF) class but previous students will recognize the scenario. The video recordings that has been collected throughout the semester will remain available on this site for around 2-3 weeks after our last meeting. After that they will be gone. What I did with the previous class was to compress the files into one archive. So the individual files CAN be retrieved if necessary but it's quite a process to do so. I will very likely do that again this time so if you get nostalgic a year or two down the road and want to revisit any of the sessions, hit me up 😉😋 But, for now, if you want to download and keep any or all of the videos, you can do that any time. Just click a link to one of them and choose download. I DO ask that you not share the video with others since the premise of the secure page for video links was to ensure student privacy. But, as a participant in the class, you are most certainly welcome to take possession of any or all of them.
My plan is to keep this website going and make it available to Carl and any other Advisors/Instructors that would like to make use of it. SO, if you are moving on to the next level and your new Advisor might benefit from such a site, give him or her a link to this site and have them contact me.
And finally, even though I may be making some changes to the site to make things better & easier to use, just know what you are all still welcome to come back and use the site. The Forum page is one of many ways you can stay in touch with friends, former classmates, etc.
73 all and stay in touch!!
